Privacy Policy
Zigital Automations ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information and complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and how you can access or correct it.
1. What information we collect
We collect personal information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, company name
- Enquiry and project details submitted through our contact form
- Email address if you subscribe to our newsletter
- Any information you share during discovery calls or project engagements
We also collect certain technical information automatically when you visit our website, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time of visit. Some of this is collected by third-party analytics and advertising tools, which do not treat it purely in aggregate. Section 5 sets out exactly which tools those are, what each one collects, and how to refuse them.
2. How we use your information
We use your personal information to:
- Respond to your enquiries and provide quotes or proposals
- Deliver and manage the services you engage us for
- Send our monthly newsletter if you have subscribed (you may unsubscribe at any time)
- Improve our website and service offering
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties.
3. How we store and protect your information
Your information is stored on secure servers located in Australia. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Contact form submissions are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We may share your information with:
- Service providers who assist us in operating our business (e.g. email delivery, hosting), bound by confidentiality obligations
- Government or regulatory authorities where required by law
Information you submit to us directly, such as a contact form enquiry, is not transferred outside Australia except where necessary to deliver a specific service and with your knowledge.
The analytics and advertising tools described in section 5 are a separate matter. If you consent to them, they send technical information about your visit to Google and to Meta, both of which process and store that information overseas, including in the United States. Those companies are not bound by the Australian Privacy Principles. Declining, as described below, means no information is sent to either of them.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use one analytics tool that runs for every visitor, and two Google and Meta tools that run only if you agree to them.
Always on
Umami. Our own visitor counter, which we host ourselves on our own server. It records the page visited, the approximate country, the referring site and the type of device. It sets no cookie, assigns no identifier and stores nothing that can be traced back to you as an individual. Because it cannot identify you, it runs without asking, and there is nothing to opt out of.
Only with your consent
The first time you visit, we ask whether you agree to the following. They are not loaded, and set no cookies, unless and until you click Accept. If you decline, or simply ignore the question, the scripts are never added to the page and no request is made to Google or Meta at all.
- Google Analytics 4 (property G-FZHWXHSL30). Sets cookies to recognise returning visitors and reports how people arrive at the site and which pages they read. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Ads conversion tracking (account AW-18222504292). Tells us which advertisements led to a booking enquiry, and allows us to show ads to people who have visited the site before.
- Meta Pixel (ID 1056703029625295). Reports which Facebook and Instagram advertisements led to an enquiry, and allows us to show ads to people who have visited the site. Meta may match your visit to a Facebook or Instagram account you are signed in to. Governed by Meta's Privacy Policy.
Changing your mind
Your choice is stored on your own device and applies until you change it or clear your browser storage. You can change it at any time:
You can also configure your browser to refuse cookies, though this may affect how some websites function. We use no cookies of our own beyond what is needed for the site to work.
We do not use session recording, heatmap or screen replay tools on this website.
6. Access and correction
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us at info@zigitalautomations.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint with us at info@zigitalautomations.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL. We encourage you to review it periodically.
